Double Bass

The double bass, often known as the upright bass, acoustic bass, or just bass, is the largest and lowest-pitched chordophone in the modern symphony orchestra. It is similar in structure to the cello, with four or five strings. Aria Music Publications includes the bass in many of its arrangements.
