Furusato (Japanese: 故郷, [hometown, or homeland]) is a well-known 1914 Japanese children's song, with music by Teiichi Okano (1878 - 1941) and lyrics by Tatsuyuki Takano (1876-1947). The song tells the story of a person working in a distant area who longs for the hills and fields of his childhood home.
